If you do any of the above, after May 15th you may not have that option thanks to a new royalty
rates being pushed by the recording industry.

Need tix for Pittsburgh show, Great seats only!

I slept until 1/2 hour after tix went on sale, and missed all of the good ones!
Fri. Aug. 10, DMB is coming to Pittsburgh, and I don't have a ticket!
I can't bring myself to buy a bad seat.

I want a VERY GREAT seat or two, if anyone can sell me one or two. One is even fine.

Vegoose Latenight: MoPo (from the Cruise) spinning at MGM Grand

Hey folks. Motion Potion here making a post as I had such a wonderful time playing for y'all on the Carribean Cruise. Turns out I am throwing a 4-night after-hours party at the MGM Grand during Vegoose (the same hotel where D&T are playing).

It's a small bar but we'll have kickin' sound and if you ask for it, I'll be sure to play those 2 DMB remixes I made for the cruise ("the Deep Rhyme" and "So Much to Break"). The parties will begin at 3am every night from Friday through Monday and go till sunrise. (After Panic we start at Midnight) To get more info/tickets etc. visit

Tampa Date in the middle of the Week, Aug. , Blows

Is anyone esle ticked off by the Aug show date in Tampa??

My first time seeing DMB in Tampa was a poor experience, people were rude, one dude had a knife and the Ampitheatre accoustics suck. I saw them many time in the Carolinas and had a blast.

Any suggestions to avoid the traffic, getting into preparties, and good seats??

Kohl Center, Madison CONCERT

Did anyone go to the 11-29-05 concert in Madison, Wisc? For those who missed it and those who never see Dave up close.....it was soooo bomb! I had never had such close seats before...we were 10 rows right to the side of the stage at the same level as the stage.....it was tha shit! Pretty sure Dave and I made eye contact! They played ants marching, where r u going, crash into me, stand up, dreamgirl, #41, everyday....all the good ones. We waited by the backdoor for Dave, but he had already left by the time we got there.....
Anyone else go? What did you think?

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Tailgating will be banned at this weekend's Dave Matthews concerts at the Meadows Music Theater, as police attempt to prevent a repeat of violence that has plagued earlier Matthews shows in Hartford.

After planning sessions over the past several weeks, police said Thursday that public drinking and tailgating in parking lots in and around the concert area will be prohibited.

Police intend to turn back any vehicles or people with large amounts of alcohol.

"Our objective is for concertgoers to have an enjoyable evening, performers to enjoy their experience in Hartford and all to return home safely," Chief Patrick J. Harnett said.

Last year, three tailgaters and a police officer were injured in confrontations between fans and police outside Dave Matthews' shows. Twenty-five people were arrested.

More than 50 people were arrested in 1999 during rioting outside Matthews' concerts at the same theater.

"It's really perplexing," said police spokeswoman Nancy Mulroy. "His music is so mellow, and his people tell us they don't have these problems anywhere else."

If Green Should Turn To Grey...

Ok, I need help. I am just not getting Stand Up. I don't hear it. Call me nostalgic, but I don't hear the once sweet sounds of Leroi Moore and profound lyrics of Dave that used to make me smile. Or the beats and jams that make me dance feverishly in place at each show. I've spent countless dollars and days of my life seeing this band on this band over the last 7 or 8 years but I feel like they are slipping away from me. So, I ask you my fellow DMB tribers, can you shed some light on what you find most endearing in this most recent album? Perhaps I will discover this same enlightenment.

SO looking forward to these shows...
i know the main place we've been meeting has been lot 12. I (don't ask why) got parking through the warehouse this year (probably cuz they've never done it before, so I'd give it a try), any idea where we'll be meeting this year? Once again I'll be at the Quality Inn!

whats happening!!! is any one going to bonnaroo???? a friend and i were flaked on and are looking to carpool from (nashville or atlanta) if any one has room...we would also throw in on an rv...i realize it's last minute so i won't get my hopes up to high...we still haven't got plane tix yet, due to the friend flakin on our rv rental...anyhow thanks

Dave was raised under the Quaker religion as a child in South Africa. In the DMB biography Step Into the Light Morgan DeLancey suggests Dave's Quaker roots as part of his reasoning behind leaving the country..."
